Sports, media and entertainment capital and financial services firm 23 Capital, based in London, has named Sreesha Vaman as managing director and capital markets head. Vaman has more than 15 years of experience across the finance, investment banking, sports and entertainment landscape and is joining the team’s New York office with a remit to build on 23 Capital’s work in the capital markets division globally. His will be working with the firm’s origination and structuring teams in the US and Europe. The firm, which was founded in 2014 and has advised on more than $3.0 billion of transactions, has offices in New York and Los Angeles. Before joining 23 Capital, Vaman spent seven years as a managing director at Guggenheim Partners, based in New York, across multiple roles, most recently as co-head of its asset-backed securities/collateralized loan obligation syndicate business. Prior to Guggenheim, Vaman worked with various investment banking firms in both New York and London, including UBS and Lehman Brothers. Vaman graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business and holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
